The Holyoake Program is designed to support people with a history of alcohol or drug issues who are preparing for release from Prison.
The program assists with re-integration into the community while also preparing family members for the client’s release.
The program offers a supportive, non-judgemental environment where individuals can begin to understand when, why, and how they developed dependent behaviours including the use of alcohol or other drugs. Issues such as anger, domestic violence, gambling, sexual abuse, physical abuse, fear, anxiety or grief may have impacted on the individual, and affected their decisions.
The program is designed to help individuals recognise and accept their responsibilities in life and explore the range of choices they may have.
All Holyoake programs are based on a harm minimisation model.
